Only a generation ago Africans raised in the diaspora will recall reserving their traditional outfits exclusively for special occasions. Thankfully this is no longer the case with African clothing worn more now than ever before and enjoyed by people from diverse races and backgrounds too.

2. African wear is NOT reserved for warm weather. By layering African tops and dresses with shirts and turtle necks they can be worn stylishly all year round.

3. Be experimental with your African wear, combine it with in season trends. Currently that looks like chunky belts and wide leg trousers.
