This week, Ozwald Boateng, a reputable designer of Ghanaian origin who has designed bespoke suits for the “who is who” of the entertainment and corporate industry debuted his first women’s wear, and It’s saturated with African wear, and rightly so. For many years, we have seen men and women of African origin proudly sauntering around in their finest clothing. For us of African origin, we’ve cringed and begged our parents to refrain from it. We felt embarrassed because we’d been conditioned to believe that. No more. We are no longer cringing or shaking our heads in embarrassment. In the last few years we’ve seen red carpets exhibiting their love and appreciation for the wonderful ANKARA. It’s a beautiful sight to see. We at Nueki, have a dream. A dream to make African fashion as BEAUTIFUL as it was destined to be for the masses. Our aim is not only to make it palatable to Africans, but to the whole world. Join us on this incredible journey.
